Analytics on Draft Day and Beyond Background NFL draft day evaluations now go far beyond the typical Combine results. People are familiar with the skill measurements used to grade a player’s abilities – 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, etc. – but thanks to the analytics movement, teams have access to much more information. Football is Over – Now What? Here we are. NFL and college seasons are over. For some, it was once again a season filled with thrills and excitement; for others disappointment and dismay leave us counting the hours and minutes until next year. Recon – What is it? Football helmets go through a LOT. If you’ve watched a game, then you know what I’m talking about. We see it every Friday, Saturday and Sunday; on-field, off-field, during practice, during games, wherever it is, a helmet is going through it.
